As of right now, I became a Scentsy representative. Scentsy, Inc. is a company, based in Meridian, ID, that sells a safe, wickless alternative to scented candles. They consist of decorative warmers and melt scented wax cubes. I have been buying Scentsy for about 9 months now. Scentsy offers many scents (over 100 if I am correct). The wax cubes smell can last up to a week! Scents range from manly and leather ones for the guys, tropical and fruity ones, soft and clean scents and so much more. They even have seasonal aromas for those special times of the year (i.e. Christmas, Easter, etc.).

Outside of the warmers and wax cubes, Scentsy also sells roll-on perfume, scented stuffed animal plushies, scented hand sanitizers, room sprays, hanging air fresheners (Scent Circles), travel tins (perfect for your desk drawers, purses, etc.) and new items to come. Each month, they offer a scent of the month as well as a warmer of the month.

For those who live in the United States, you may see generic knock-offs at WalMart for at a cheaper price than Scentsy BUT the quality of the knock-offs at WalMart are very horrible. Their warmers burn the wax too easily. With Scentsy warmers and cubes, the quality is amazing! If anything ever goes wrong with the product, you can gladly talk to your local consultant about getting it replaced.

For those interested in buying from me, from my Scentsy page, I can only sell to those living in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico (as far as I am aware of for the moment). Those living outside my selling area, keep checking back onto the main page of Scentsy, Inc. to see when Scentsy will be available in your area (last time I checked, they are currently working on making their way to Europe).

Please visit here, my Scentsy Consultant page, to purchase from me. My Scentsy page will also be listed at the top of the page as well.

Just been vomiting, diarrhea, body aches and difficulty sleeping. I attempted to go to work today but…I only survived 3 hours before going home early. That was the first time ever that I went home early from work due to sickness. I recently just woke up and feel better. I guess I had to sleep the rest of it off. Now I’m going to try to eat something. I haven’t been able to keep anything down the past few days except water. I hope this is the last of it.

SORRY! SO SO SORRY! I’ve been busy. Let’s quickly brief over what’s happened:

Became the assistant manager at work a month ago. Learning all the management stuff I need to know.

Dad got laid off again so money has been tight. I was hoping on sending out some holiday cards to my online people here but I may have to make it up to them after the new year when I get my income tax return. Also, Dad + laid off = him on my laptop way more than me.

Saving up money so I can 1.) Renew my domain because it is due by New Year’s and that is also my resolution: to blog again. 2.) Vacation. I have a week to use but since I am assistant manager now, I may have two weeks. I will talk to my manager tomorrow about it.

I’m slowly and finally getting back into reading. I keep finding SOOO many Pagan books at Goodwill for the past few months, it’s crazy.

Last, but not least…Role-playing on Facebook (still lol).

I plan on shopping about after the New Year for a new computer finally. Something just for me. I would not mind a desktop computer but I don’t have enough cords to run an Ethernet cable to my room. I may just stick with a laptop. Then I can go chill at Starbucks with it and sip on my Frappuccinos! Alright, I am signing out because my space bar is pissing me off lol

For the most part, it has been mostly work I’ve been busy with. I’ve been working at much as I can so I can save my money up for…moving to Hawaii. Yes. I am planning on moving to Hawaii. Hopefully it’ll be in May 2012. I get paid this Thursday and I hope to at least put $300 to the side so I can open a new bank account. I will be opening up a new one online with Bank of Hawaii. I also need to save up money to go fly out there and visit in February. Not to mention, my car is due for an oil change and my brother said he would change it again for me. So I will be going over there on Friday so he can do it. Other than that, I will do another Thrifty Finds post shortly this week. I haven’t been shopping much due to saving money but lately, I did get some things that would help me with Hawaii.

Oh yes, by the way…as of Sunday morning (21 August), I became an ordained minister at the Universal Life Church. This is for people of any religious beliefs. I have been a Wiccan priestess since 17 May but now (if I want to), I can legally marry people and perform other rites legally.

I shall return! I just wanted to post this to say that I have not forgotten about your lovely faces!

<del datetime="2011-06-23T07:18:11+00:00">I am way overdue for a new layout and a total revamp. I shall slowly do so tomorrow (technically it is tomorrow…as in Friday >>). I just need to figure out something for a web layout. I may use my drawing tablet and draw my original character, Kazumi Murasaki, or use some kind of photos online. Oh yes, I need to start downloading some brushes again because I recently had to wipe my hard drive because Dad does not know how to watch what he clicks on. Good thing is that I already have an idea for the new layout (setup wise). Just need to figure out the imagery/creativity part. I am going to sleep now and think on ideas. That is just how I roll.</del>

I finally have the new layout up! I originally had some similar to this in a more brighter colour but the coding for it was not cooperating well with me so I re-did it and got this. I drew Kazumi again. This time she is in a different outfit from her usual attire. I am slowly re-working on the sidebars so please be patient. :3

As mentioned in my post before this one, I will be having another series of entries about the goodies I find at the various thrift stores in town. Sometimes it’s a hit or miss situation: You either find something or you don’t. Some days you leave with nothing. I know the feeling all too well. I usually find some cheap clothing (sometimes hard because I am a 16W/1X plus size women’s clothing here in the US), items I can use for my Wiccan practices (scoopers for bath salts, jars, candles, etc.) and whatever else. I did go today to my three usual spots here in town: Rescued Treasures, Salvation Army and Goodwill. So, you are asking yourself, “What did Ravie find today?” Well I shall show you!

Jewellery and Jewellery Organizer: Got these at the Salvation Army. I recently got my ears pierced and next weekend will be when I can finally take the starter earrings out and use any earrings I wish! These feather earrings were $1. I found this cool dolphin surfboard necklace next to the earrings for $3. It reminds me so much like Hawaii! Nearby was this cute black star earring and necklace organizer for $2. It will come in handy for when I start developing my earring collection.

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean (PS3): For $8 at Goodwill, can you not blame me for getting this, especially if the game just came out last month AND is still brand new in its original shrink packaging? <del> I do not plan on playing this…instead I plan on putting it up on eBay for sale. The game averages on the site for about $30. I will list it up for sale/auction once I wipe off the marker price tag (and take a picture of it without the marker)</del> I listed the game on eBay last night. $10 starting bid or $30 Buy It Now (with $4 shipping). I woke up to see somebody already purchased it. After fees…I ended up getting $32.71 USD!

These days, thrift stores can be a fun place to shop. You honestly never know what you will find (especially when I got those two Wicca books at the Salvation Army in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii in February >>). Keep your eyes open and don’t be afraid to step into thrift stores because you may just walk out with something wonderful!

Here makes me official return to the blog world and I start out with my own blogging topic series thing (or whatever is best appropriate to call it >>). This series, entitled Money Saver, was inspired by the recent events at work that took place last month. We got notice we were going from a 24 hour store to closing at night. That meant hours would get cut. It really showed on my recent check. 50 hours and $345. Don’t worry, though, because this week I am back full-time because I am doing 8-10 hour days, 4 days a week. So let me start off by listing off 5 ways to help you save a bit of money and describe each one in my point of view:

Stay Home More Often: A lot of you may not agree with me on this because some may easily get bored by staying home too much BUT if you knew me, you would know that even if I just leave the house for a few minutes that I end up spending even $5 on something. There are a lot of different things you can do at home. For myself, I have my PlayStation 3 with Netflix so I can play a ton of video games and watch as many movies and television shows as I wish. I have my sewing machine with a lot of fabrics so I can get easily creative. I finally have a digital drawing tablet for the computer (I cannot remember if I did mention it in previous posts before I deleted them) so I can draw and do other things in Photoshop. Oh yes, I do have a lot of Wicca/Witchcraft books I still have to read. I have around 40-50 of them and most of them I get super cheap (hence why I have a lot of them). You just have to open your mind to the options around you.

Pack Your Own Lunch To Work: Let me start off by mentioning that I work at a gas station/convenience store and it is very easy to spend $5-10 each day you are at work just on junk. Half of the stuff does not fill me up all the way either. One of the few exceptions is when we have 2 for $1 on small hot dogs on Wednesdays. I also get free fountain drinks when I am on duty…too bad it is all carbonated (I hate anything carbonated).

Yard Sales: ‘Tis the season for yard sales! You can find so many great deals from your neighbours. When I first moved out here to Wyoming two years ago, I was at this yard sale in the neighbourhood when I snagged my first batch of Wicca/Witchcraft books in Wyoming (not my first books on the subject as I did come out here from Michigan with a couple book). I got 8 books for $15! Two of the books are normally $40 because they are hard-covered and are huge like school text books. Three of the others are a part of a series and are $20 a book. Our neighbourhood’s annual yard sale is coming up on 25 June. This entire neighbourhood (well it is more like a sub-division) is filled with homes with sales and many great deals. I am well looking forward to it too!

Thrift Stores: Or many call them the second-hand shops but these are places where you can find a lot of goodies (even brand new things) for next-to-nothing prices. I go to the local shops here in town on average of once or twice a week (depending on my days off, my mood, and my current money on hand). I will be doing another blog series on the finds I get from the shops in the next post, so look forward to it!

Lock Up Checkbooks and Debit/Credit Cards: It is way too easy to write a check these days or use your cards to withdrawal money from the ATM (or even just transfer enough for you to use on your card). Just carry a small amount of cash so that way you do not go too crazy on shopping when you do have to go out and about.

This is only just the beginning of a series I hope that lasts quite a while for me. I have many other ways to help you save money (many of them will be from personal experience as well). Feel free to comment with your own tips on saving money. I just may feature it in the next feature of Money Saver! Keep saving money everybody!
